Lsd And The Search For God

Following the release of their first EP, titled LSD and the Search for God, nearly nine years ago, they are back with their blissful new EP, Heaven Is a Place, which will be available on Deep Space Recordings and Mind Expansion on January 15, 2016!

The band continued to write, record, and perform in between LSD records; this EP captures a moment in time shortly after the addition of Ryan Lescure and Ricky Maymi (Brian Jonestown Massacre). Over the course of tours throughout the United States and Canada, as well as performances at Austin Psych Fest Levitation (2013), Bathysphere (2013) with A Place To Bury Strangers, and Desert Stars Festival (2014) with The Dandy Warhols, they have been honing their lucid live show.

The highly regarded debut EP by LSD and the Search for God, a psychedelic shoegaze space rock band from San Francisco.

Drop some LSD and start searching for God: these San Francisco space-rockers’ much awaited debut is now available!

This excellent compilation of five guitar-based, lysergic pieces is pleasantly evocative of the early Creation Records sound. Turn it on and prepare yourself for a psychedelic journey through dreamy pop hooks, fuzzed-out drones, and whirling guitars with playful flirtatious boy/girl vocals.

This excellent EP explains why LSD and the Search for God have become the underground psychedelic, spacerock, and shoegaze community’s rising stars thanks to their incredible live performances all over the West Coast.

The Sound of this Outstanding Debut EP is Equally Epic as their moniker.

The Deli Magazine, December 2006, “CD of the Month”

“You will unearth LSD and the Search for God if you unearth Spacemen 3 or The Telescopes.”
